4 SIGNS YOU NEED NEW WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES

To be honest, when was the last time you replaced the windshield wiper blade ? Are you a 12-month-old child who changes the old blade every time for perfect wiping effect, or the type of “tilt your head in a dirty area that cannot be wiped”?

The fact is that the design life of windshield wiper blades is only between six months and one year, depending on their use, the weather they experience and the quality of the product itself. If you have more time, they are likely to have begun to degrade, so they will not effectively remove water and dirt. It is important that your wiper should work properly, because if your windshield is not completely clear, you may eventually break the law – in addition, it is very dangerous to drive without a fully clear windshield.

Once you feel that your visibility is obstructed or reduced by the wipers, you should replace them as soon as possible. If you are not sure if you need to replace, here are some common signs to note.

Streaking

If you find these stripes on the windshield after using the wiper, there may be one or two problems:

Rubber worn – lift both wipers and check the rubber for any visible cracks or cracks.

There may be debris – if your wiper blade is not damaged, it may be debris on the windshield, causing it to look streaked, such as gravel or dirt.
skipping

The “skip” car wiper blade is probably distressed by lack of use, which means you are lucky to live in a warm and dry place!

You may notice that this happens after summer, and you don’t need to use them so much.

Either way, your wiper blade will be deformed due to continuous heating and cooling, resulting in this “jumping”. Parking a car under a shelter or using a car hood in particularly hot weather can help solve this problem. If you notice this problem when it rains, it’s time to replace them.
Squeaking

Perhaps the most annoying sign of all the signs that your wiper needs to be replaced: squeaking. Squeaks are most likely caused by incorrect assembly, which in most cases can be solved by tightening or loosening the wiper arms, depending on their freedom of movement. If you have made the necessary adjustments and the problem still exists, it may be time to change a new set!

Smearing

It is usually difficult to distinguish whether your windshield wiper blades has stripes, jumps or stains, but usually the stains are caused by worn blades, dirty windshield or poor washing fluid. Tailing is easier to identify than tailing because a larger part of the windshield will be covered and your visibility will be significantly reduced.

If you have cleaned your car and tried different screen cleaning, but your wipers are still stained, you’d better replace them.
